Earth Day 2026

As today is Earth Day, we as a business take the responsibilities of sustainability very seriously. It’s important that we always try our best to ensure that our contribution to global warming is minimal.

At Sorrel we proud ourselves on the progressive steps we take to ensure our focus is always towards a sustainable future. We work closely with suppliers and their supply chains to ensure that every step is taken to keep environmental impacts to a minimum.

As we specialise in working within heritage properties, we resource recycled materials, fixtures and fittings as much as is practicable. We scour reclamation yards and independent artisans for authentic materials. We are also routinely monitoring our processes as a business to keep waste going to landfill to an absolute minimum. As Constructionline Gold members we are audited on all aspects of our environmental management and must evidence as such.

It’s easy in today’s landscape to ‘Green Wash’ as business, but at Sorrel we fundamentally care about what impact we have on the environment and are practical in our approach. We encourage the use of public transport with our staff, continuously training our wider teams and management on the importance of a sustainable future and always look to invest in new, greener alternatives to any materials and processes we utilise for our clients.
